  • Meet your tour leader at Toronto International Airport and board a long-haul flight to Lima, the capital city of Peru.

  • Upon arrival, begin your exploration of Lima’s historic old town, visiting Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral, and the Presidential Palace.

  • After breakfast, take a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands (also known as Bird Island), a sanctuary for thousands of seabirds, sea lions, penguins, and other wildlife. Admire the stunning rock formations and natural habitats.

  • After breakfast, fly from Lima to Juliaca. Upon arrival, transfer to the lakeside town of Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Puno is known as the “Little Switzerland of South America” and is famed for its vibrant indigenous culture and traditional handcrafts.

  • After breakfast, take a yacht cruise on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Visit the unique Uros Floating Islands, handmade entirely from totora reeds by Indigenous locals.     Then continue to Taquile Island, located in the heart of the lake, the boat ride takes about 2 hours. From here, you can admire the snowcapped Bolivian Andes in the distance and Sun Island, believed to be the birthplace of the Inca civilization.

    Enjoy a homestyle lunch prepared by locals before returning to the main pier to board your boat back to Puno.

Visa Information:

Due to frequent changes in visa regulations, travelers are responsible for confirming entry requirements with the appropriate consulates. The company is not responsible for denied entry due to visa or passport issues.

  • Bolivia Visa:
    • Canadian passport holders: No visa required
    • Chinese, Hong Kong, and U.S. passport holders: Visa on arrival available for approx. USD $100 (subject to current immigration policies and fees)
  • Peru Visa:
    • Canadian passport holders: No visa required
    • Chinese passport holders: Visa required
      • If holding a valid U.S., Canadian, or Schengen visa (valid for at least 6 months), Peru visa is not required

Booking & Payment Terms:

  • A C$500 deposit per person is required upon booking
  • Remaining balance must be paid no later than 90 days prior to departure
  • Tour schedule is subject to change based on flight arrangements. Travelers may not object on this basis
  • Tour price reflects a 3% discount for non-credit card payments.

  • Single supplement: C$1,540

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

The tour company reserves the right to cancel any tour before departure. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to participants. The company is not liable for cancellations or changes to departure dates.

For traveler-initiated cancellations or changes:

  • More than 128 days before departure: Full refund
  • 91–127 days before departure: C$300 per person deducted
  • 61–90 days before departure: No refund on group airfare; 45% of tour fee retained
  • 31–60 days before departure: 70% of tour fee retained
  • Within 30 days of departure: 100% of tour fee retained, no refund

Important Notes:

  1. Some parts of the tour reach altitudes between 3,400–4,200 meters. It is strongly recommended to consult your family doctor and prepare 9 days’ worth of altitude medication.
  2. Rain boots for the Salt Flats will be provided by the tour company—please do not bring your own.
  3. For the Ballestas Islands boat tour, please bring motion sickness medication and a raincoat, as weather conditions can be unpredictable.
  4. The high-altitude climate can be cold. Please bring warm clothing and sun protection (e.g., sunscreen, hat, sunglasses).

Liability Disclaimer:

In the event of flight cancellations or delays, natural disasters, strikes, shutdowns, wars, blockades, riots, earthquakes, severe weather, labour disputes, or political unrest—which are beyond the control of the tour company and its suppliers—the company is not liable for any compensation.
Any additional costs incurred due to such events, including meals, accommodation, or transportation, are the responsibility of the traveler.
We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
